Khaberni - Naim Qasim, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, confirmed during a speech he delivered at the "Sayyid al-Shuhada" complex south of Beirut, that any threat directed toward Imam Ali Khamenei is considered a direct threat to the party and millions of supporters.
He emphasized that violating the Iranian leader constitutes an "assassination of stability in the region and the world." This occurred during a massive public gathering at the "Sayyid al-Shuhada" complex south of Beirut, held in solidarity with Iran and denouncing the insults to the Iranian leadership.
Qasim confirmed that Khamenei represents the "Wali al-Faqih who confronts" and the deputy of the infallible Imam in the time of occultation, a doctrinal stance that Hezbollah has committed to as a "faith and methodology".
In response to recent American statements, Qasim warned that a threat from someone like former U.S. President Donald Trump to Khamenei is essentially a threat to "tens of millions" of followers of this leader around the world.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah said: "It is our duty to confront this threat with all measures and preparations, as violating Imam Khamenei is considered an assassination of the stability and the situation in the region and the world," noting the widespread popularity of Khamenei.
He added: "We are concerned with facing this threat, we consider it a threat to us, and we have full authority to take whatever we see appropriate to confront it."
He concluded his speech by emphasizing that the confrontation of the United States with the Islamic Republic since 1979 stems from Washington's refusal to accept the existence of a "free and independent country that serves as a reference for Muslims and the oppressed in the world."
