Khaberni - Google announced that it has fixed the Gmail issues related to spam and misclassification.
The official status dashboard for Google Workspace indicates that the problems started early on the morning of last Saturday, where users faced "misclassification of emails in their inbox and additional spam warnings".
The company confirmed that the Google dashboard had been updated with long messages stating that Google is still working on resolving the issue, and later, Google announced that the issue had been "completely resolved for all users".
In an update to the control panel, Google announced: "Some Gmail users encountered an issue with email classification in their inbox, in addition to delays in receiving them, as well as mistakenly classified spam warnings, resulting from this incident, may continue to appear for messages received before the issue was resolved."
The company also said that it will publish "an analysis of this incident once the internal investigations are completed."
It is noted that users' primary mailbox was filled with messages that typically appear in mailboxes for promotional offers or social media or updates, and that spam alerts were appearing in emails from known senders.
Other users complained on social media that "all spam messages go directly to the mailbox" and that Gmail filters had suddenly malfunctioned."
