Hamas Finding the Last Prisoners Body Confirms Our Commitment to All Requirements of the Ceasefire Agreement

Khaberni - Hamas stated in a statement on Monday evening that the discovery of the body of Ran Goeli, the last Israeli prisoner, confirms our commitment to all requirements of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas added that it will continue its commitment to all aspects of the agreement including facilitating the work of the National Committee for the Management of Gaza and ensuring its success.

In its statement, it indicated that the resistance, stemming from its national responsibility and commitment to what has been agreed upon, made significant efforts in the file of searching for the body of the last prisoner, and provided the mediators with the necessary information regularly, which contributed to the ability to find the body.

It emphasized that this step comes within the context of the resistance's full commitment to the obligations of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, where it has completed all its obligations clearly and responsibly.

On the other hand, the movement affirmed that the occupation must complete the implementation of the full ceasefire agreement without reduction or delay, and adhere to all the obligations arising from it, especially opening the Rafah crossing in both directions without restrictions, allowing the entry of the required quantities of sector necessities, lifting the ban on any of them, withdrawing completely from the Gaza Strip, and facilitating the work of the National Committee for the management of the sector.

In its statement, the movement called upon the guaranteeing countries to take responsibility for ensuring the implementation of all obligations hindered by Israel after its excuse with finding the body of the last prisoner has ended.

Earlier, the Israeli army announced the discovery of the body of soldier Ran Goeli after completing the identity verification procedures by the National Center for Forensic Medicine, thus all the kidnapped and bodies have been returned from the Gaza Strip.

The statement of the Israeli army said: "After completing the identity verification procedures by the National Center for Forensic Medicine and in cooperation with the Israel Police and the military rabbinate, army representatives informed the family of the deceased prisoner Ran Goeli that their loved one has been returned for burial."

The statement added that Ran Goeli was a fighter in the special patrol unit of the police (Yasam), 24 years old at the time of his death, fell in battle on the morning of October 7, 2023, and his body was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army confirmed that "thus, all the kidnapped from inside the Gaza Strip have been returned."
