Khaberni - The internal security directorates in Homs and Rural Damascus thwarted an attempt to smuggle an arms shipment into Lebanese territory through the Al-Barij area, following precise information about a suspicious vehicle movement coming from the town of Jreijer.
A security source, quoted by the Syrian news agency (SANA), explained that the security forces intercepted a vehicle loaded with nine "Konkurs" guided missiles, 68 RPG charges, two 107 missiles, in addition to five boxes of BKS ammunition. The gang's hideout located in the town of Jreijer, from which the weapons were transferred, was raided. Russian stores and a daytime scope were found there, while efforts continue to pursue all those involved in the operation.
