Khaberni - Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khasawneh, a faculty member at the College of Media at Petra University, stated that he won first place in the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kano Award alongside teacher Aya Saleem for our research titled "Employing Artificial Intelligence Applications in Enhancing Arab Trade and Empowering the Regional Digital Economy" in the twelfth session of the economic research competition, which is an award granted to competent researchers and for outstanding scientific contributions.
In a press interview, he added that the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kano Award is a valuable one with significant importance both regionally and internationally, due to its focus on scientific research as the backbone of knowledge development and national progress, especially in the economic aspect.
On this occasion, Al-Khasawneh extended a greeting of appreciation to the creators who produced works that warrant ongoing attention and study, and are remembered by generations over time, for scientists are those who build the consciousness of the nation, and creators are those who give life meaning and contribute value to knowledge, hoping that people will benefit from their contributions.
He mentioned that the Award's Board of Trustees has honored a group of scientists and researchers who have carved their paths in the fields of science, and have delved into various types of knowledge, indicating that they are committed to keeping the award prominent in the field of science to present everything new and beneficial to future generations.
Al-Khasawneh emphasized that the power of countries is currently measured by their economic strength and what they can achieve in terms of progress in various aspects of economic activity, noting that nations are joining economic groups despite differences in language, history, traditions, and other aspects, in order to maintain their status and be able to perform their role towards their peoples with awareness and responsibility.
He said that being honored with this award represents recognition of the scientific creativity that deserves every support and backing in order to serve a lofty mission primarily aimed at serving science, thereby playing a role in the upliftment of homelands and serving humanity collectively.
Al-Khasawneh noted that the innovators have illuminated the paths of humanity, opened up avenues of life, and undermined the pillars of oppression, ignorance, and tyranny, pointing out that vibrant nations are in great need to merge their efforts to offer every fruitful contribution, which contributes to the advancement and progress of homelands.
It is worth noting that the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kano Award aims to enrich the movement of thought, sciences, and literature, stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship, and serve as an incubator for the achievements of scientists, thinkers, researchers, and innovators.
