Khaberni - A horrifying crime occurred in a famous district in Gaziantep city, Turkey last night. A man named Adam Kolah (36 years old) restrained his wife Sibel Kolah (31 years old), a mother of two, using duct tape, then poured burning acid over her head.
The incident began when the accused went to his wife's house, who was in the final stages of divorce from him, and a fierce argument ensued which escalated into a brutal assault. Adam firmly restrained the victim using duct tape, then directly poured the burning liquid on her head, causing her severe burns.
After committing his crime, the perpetrator contacted the victim's relatives to inform them of what he had done, then left the house heading to the police station to turn himself in voluntarily.
Ambulance and police teams arrived at the scene after receiving a report from the victim's relatives, and provided first aid to the victim before transferring her to Gaziantep State Hospital.
Sibel Kolah is currently undergoing treatment in the burns unit of the hospital, and medical reports indicate that her health condition remains critical, with her scalp completely burned due to the chemical substance, and she also suffered vision loss, making full recovery doubtful.
Officially, the authorities completed the necessary procedures with Adam Kolah at the police station, then referred him to the public prosecutor's office, which presented him before the competent court.
The court also issued a decision to arrest the suspect and detain him in preventive custody, while the authorities continue the investigations into the circumstances of this heinous crime.
