Family Massacre An Indian spree killer opens fire on his family and an unexpected call gets him arrested

Khaberni - An Indian-origin man opened fire on his wife and three of her relatives inside their home in Lawrenceville in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, following a family dispute that escalated into a horrific family crime.

According to "ndtv", the massacre occurred early Friday at 2:30 AM, where police arrived within minutes to find the bodies of four adults who had been shot dead.

Three children who were in the house rushed to hide inside a closet immediately after the gunfire began, in a desperate attempt to escape the barrel of "Kumar's" weapon.

The perpetrator's son, despite being terrified, made a secret call to the emergency hotline "911" precisely at 2:30 AM, providing accurate information about the location of the massacre in the "Brook Ivy Court" complex, which allowed police officers to storm the place within minutes.

The Gwinnett County Police officially announced the names of the victims who died from the direct injuries, namely: "Minoo Dogra" (43 years old) the perpetrator's wife, and "Gaurav Kumar" (33 years old), in addition to the couple "Nidhi Chandra" (37 years old) and "Harish Chandra" (38 years old).

The investigations confirmed that the three children did not suffer any physical injuries, and were subsequently transferred to the custody of another relative of the family after safely emerging from the hiding place.

In an official context, "Vijay Kumar" faced a series of legal prosecutions upon his arrest, as he was charged with four counts of murder and four counts of manslaughter, in addition to charges of aggravated assault.

The accountability did not stop at murder charges, but also included accusations of cruelty towards children in the first and third degrees due to the trauma they experienced.

For its part, the Indian consulate began providing legal and social support to the relatives of the deceased in this horrific incident.
