Celiac Patients Care Association Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Therapeutic Nutrition Specialists Association to Develop

Khaberni - In a step aimed at improving the quality of life for celiac patients and their families, the Celiac Patients Care Charitable Association signed a memorandum of understanding with the Association of Therapeutic Nutrition Specialists, to develop specialized therapeutic nutrition programs and build the capacities of families and caregivers.
This partnership is in accordance with the provisions of the Jordanian Societies Law, and stems from a belief in the importance of institutional partnership in improving healthcare for patients with chronic diseases, especially celiac disease, by combining specialized health expertise and practical community application.
Memorandum Objectives
The memorandum aims to develop and implement therapeutic nutrition programs based on scientific principles and practical applications, focusing on building family capacities in preparing safe gluten-free meals, raising health and nutrition awareness among patients and their families, and reducing health complications associated with malnutrition.
Areas of Cooperation
The cooperation between the two associations includes designing therapeutic nutrition programs related to celiac disease and accompanying chronic diseases, and conducting theoretical and practical training courses for families that include preparing gluten-free meals, preventing cross-contamination, and planning daily and weekly diets, as well as managing the family's nutritional costs.
The memorandum also includes preparing specialized training and knowledge materials, implementing joint awareness campaigns at the community level, and developing train-the-trainer programs to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Joint Training Framework
The training programs will be conducted by trainers accredited by both associations, with the Celiac Patients Care Association providing trainers specialized in the disease and its related health aspects, while the Association of Therapeutic Nutrition Specialists handles the practical training on meal preparation and applied therapeutic dietary systems.
Target Groups
The programs target celiac patients, parents and caregivers, volunteers and workers in the health and nutrition field, in addition to trainers from both associations.
Monitoring and Evaluation
The memorandum includes clear mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation to measure the impact of the programs on nutritional knowledge, dietary behavior, and healthy life quality, with a commitment to professional quality and ethical standards in training and awareness.

This partnership reaffirms the importance of cooperation between community institutions to serve patients and improve their quality of life, through sustainable programs built on scientific and practical foundations that meet the needs of patients and their families.
