AlAmanah Completes the Fourth Phase of the AlMahatta Project AlUlwi Army Street

Khaberni  -  The Greater Amman Municipality has commenced the completion of the fourth phase of Al-Mahatta project "Al-Ulwi Army Street" within the strategic national project for the development of Amman's neighborhoods, which aims to implement traffic improvements for Al-Ulwi Army Street and Rafifan Al-Majali Street and create urban spaces.

The executive director for the development of Amman neighborhoods projects, Engineer Mohammad Abu Zaitoun, noted that the work on completing the fourth phase includes the expansion of Al-Ulwi Army Street, removing all encroachments and buildings located within the street's regulatory scope, where 6 buildings were demolished at the beginning of the fourth phase, and it will be completed today by demolishing 12 more buildings, after completing legal procedures and offering donations to the owners of the establishments that will be removed, and providing evacuation compensation for each owner or tenant of an apartment or a commercial store.

Abu Zaitoun pointed out that the works of the fourth phase will include the creation of a new infrastructure for the area, expanding the capacity of the main street according to the regulatory capacity set for the street, constructing sidewalks, improving lighting, and updating the rainwater drainage networks to ensure their sustainability, in addition to creating public squares and urban spaces, parking spaces to serve the area's residents, cosmetic works along the Army Street, and the project includes creating a park for the area.
 
He confirmed that the Amman Neighborhoods Development Project is a strategic national project targeting the development of Al-Mahatta through several phases, three of which have been completed, which included creating a park and a playground, in addition to implementing traffic expansions and improvements on Rafifan Al-Majali Street spanning 500 meters opposite Al-Mahatta Bridge.
 
 The fourth and fifth stages will be carried out on Al-Ulwi Army Street and Rafifan Al-Majali Street, by removing all encroachments on the regulatory scope of these streets, in addition to planning and regulating the area's traffic to serve the local community in the area as it is one of the main entrances to the capital Amman.
