Khaberni – The public prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court in the capital Amman, on Sunday, issued a charge of premeditated murder with premeditation against the young man who killed his sister, who was a lawyer, in northern Amman.
The public prosecutor decided to detain the perpetrator for a period of 15 days, renewable, at the correction and rehabilitation center, pending the case.
The accused is still under investigation, while the public prosecution is preparing to hear the testimonies of witnesses.
The accused had stabbed his sister with a sharp object inside the family home in north Amman on Saturday evening, causing her severe wounds that led to her being transferred to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
A security source clarified that the perpetrator surrendered himself to the security authorities immediately after the incident, while the investigation teams commenced all necessary procedures to uncover the circumstances of the incident and determine its motives.
The source indicated that preliminary investigations suggest that the accused was under the influence of drugs.
