Khaberni - A medical source at the Forensic Medicine Center at the University of Jordan Hospital revealed today, Sunday, the final results of the autopsy of the lawyer who died after being stabbed inside her family's home in north Amman.
The source indicated that the medical report showed that the deceased had suffered four penetrating stab wounds, one of which directly hit the heart, causing her immediate death. He confirmed that the family of the victim had received the body after completing the official procedures in preparation for burial.
An informed source stated that the suspect, who is the victim's brother, is currently under investigation by the competent authorities, in preparation for referral to the Public Prosecutor of Major Crimes.
Family dispute and drug use
A security source confirmed that the initial investigations showed that the perpetrator was under the influence of drugs at the time of committing the crime, noting that he had lost control of his actions inside the home.
He explained that a dispute had arisen between the perpetrator and his father, and when the victim intervened to defend her father, her brother stabbed her with a sharp object, causing her severe injuries that led to her being transported to the hospital, where she subsequently died from her injuries.
The source noted that the perpetrator surrendered himself to the security forces immediately after committing the crime, while the specialized investigation teams commenced all necessary procedures to uncover the details of the incident and fully determine its motives.

The spokesman for the Public Security Directorate stated that a report was received early Sunday to the operations room stating that a person had assaulted his sister inside their home in north Amman, whereupon police forces and ambulance teams immediately responded, and first aid was administered to the injured woman before she was urgently transported to the nearest hospital, confirming that her condition was extremely critical.
