Khaberni - The President of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, said that the message of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Major General Yousef Al-Huneiti, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, concerning the restructuring of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, is a very important strategic directive; it reflects a realistic reading and deep understanding from His Majesty about the nature of the current and upcoming challenges, and confirms that Jordan is dealing with its national security with a proactive mindset based on long-term planning.
Al-Fayez explained that the royal message was prompted by His Majesty's concern to keep our armed forces, as always, at the forefront of armies, capable of facing various challenges with new methods and strategies imposed by the nature of the challenges and developments, hence the message represents a strategic national project to transform the armed forces into a flexible, high-tech modern model, carrying meanings and goals, confirming the alertness of our Hashemite leadership and its ability to understand the requirements of the era, ensuring that Jordan is always prepared for all scenarios and in all circumstances and conditions.
He stated: "In the Senate, we are all proud and honor His Majesty the King, who with his wisdom, political acumen, and strong determination, has managed to lead the nation to safety amidst this inflamed environment; His Majesty remains keen on the security and stability of the nation and strongly confronts anyone trying to tamper with our national constants and will never allow Jordan to be a battleground for regional or international conflicts, or to compromise the dignity or sovereignty of the nation."
Al-Fayez also confirmed the strong support of the Senate behind His Majesty in every step for the nation’s elevation and building its national institutions, and in His Majesty's advanced vision to modernize and restructure the armed forces, placing Jordan's security and stability at the forefront of priorities, hence the royal message forms a foresighted vision and proactive step for the modernization of the armed forces, amid rapid regional and global changes.
He added that "the strategic goal of the royal message is to enable the armed forces to deal swiftly and flexibly with accelerated changes and modern warfare, with all professionalism and combat readiness, and high efficiency, to keep the armed forces the shield and fortress of the nation."
Al-Fayez clarified that the Jordanian army has always been a source of trust and pride for His Majesty the King and the people of the nation, and that the members of our armed forces have never hesitated to sacrifice their pure noble blood for the glory of the nation and maintaining its security and stability, pointing to the quick response capability of our armed forces to the high royal directives.
He added that His Majesty the King is well aware that the Arab Army has high efficiency, combat spirit, and leaders, as His Majesty is the son of the armed forces and the supreme commander of them, and with his message, he intended for the Jordanian Armed Forces to remain at the forefront of regional and international armies in terms of high combat readiness.
Al-Fayez pointed out that the message represents a road map that establishes clear foundations for building a modern Jordanian army capable of facing future challenges, and at the same time reflects a preemptive vision for national security based on preventing threats before they occur.
