Waze App Introduces New Alerts for Bumps and Emergency Vehicles

Khaberni - The navigation app "Waze," owned by Google, announced that it will introduce a large set of new driving features, which were unveiled about two years ago, in the coming weeks.

Waze said in an email promoting the upcoming features that it will "add new features that enhance your driving experience and provide more information about the road ahead," with the rollout starting "in the coming weeks".

This update focuses on providing the driver with advance alerts about physical obstacles that hinder driving.

Users will receive specific warnings for things like speed bumps, sharp turns, and toll gates, according to a report from "Digital Trends," a website specializing in technology news.

It may seem simple, but anyone who has hit an unclear bump at 30 miles per hour knows how important these upcoming alerts are, and they aim to provide the driver with sufficient information to react smoothly instead of abruptly slamming on the brakes at the last moment.

The additional alerts that will be introduced include a special warning about emergency vehicles, and Waze says that this will inform the driver about the presence of emergency vehicles along the path initially in the United States, Mexico, Canada, and France.

Moving on to other alerts, there is a new alert for lower speed limits on the route, which helps the driver avoid speeding when entering a new area at full speed.

Waze is working on improving navigation within roundabouts by providing instructions on which lane to use.

Waze will learn user preferences for driving routes over time, guiding them towards those paths, while continuing to suggest faster routes in case of traffic congestion or slow movement.
