Sudden Fault Disrupts Gmail Users

Khaberni - A number of users of the email service "Gmail" faced technical issues that scrambled the message classification, leading to the appearance of unwanted messages in the main inbox, alongside unusual spam warnings.

According to the official Google Workspace status dashboard, the issue began around 5:00 AM Pacific Time on Saturday, where users noticed a glitch in the message classification among different sections like "Primary", "Promotions", and "Updates", in addition to annoying alerts on incoming messages from known contacts.

Based on some user experiences, the main inbox was filled with messages that were supposed to be automatically classified under other sections, while others complained via social media about spam messages arriving directly in the inbox, considering that Gmail's filters suddenly stopped working properly.

For its part, Google confirmed that it is currently working on addressing the fault, urging users to exercise caution and follow best practices when dealing with messages from unknown sources, until the issue is completely resolved.
