Khaberni - Egypt reaffirmed the importance of proceeding with the implementation of the obligations of the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan regarding the Gaza Strip, which paves the way for an early recovery and reconstruction phase based on a comprehensive approach that relies on the needs of the Palestinians in the sector, and ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian aid without obstacles.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Sunday, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Badr Abdel Ati, during a meeting with Christopher Landau, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, expressed Egypt's welcome to joining the Peace Council.
Abdel Ati emphasized the need to support the National Committee for the Management of the Gaza Strip, the swift deployment of the international stabilization force to monitor the ceasefire, the opening of the Rafah crossing in both directions, and achieving the Israeli withdrawal from the sector.
