Iranian Media Khamenei Moves to an Underground Bunker

Khaberni - Iranian sources said today, Sunday, that the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has moved to an underground fortified bunker in Tehran, after senior military and security officials indicated an increased risk of a potential American attack on Iran.

The bunker was described as a fortified location with interconnected tunnels, according to the opposition site "Iran International".

On another note, the site said that Masoud Khamenei, the third son of the Supreme Leader, has taken over the management of the daily affairs of the Leader's office and has become the main communication channel with the executive authorities in the government.

It is noted that the American President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that a "huge military fleet" is heading towards the Gulf, as he continues to pressure Iran despite recently downplaying the likelihood of military strikes.

Last week, Trump backed down from his threat to strike Iran in response to the bloody suppression of anti-government protests, justifying his move by Tehran's halt in executing protestors. However, he reaffirmed on Thursday the continuation of military preparations.
