Khaberni - The Japan national team won the U23 Asian Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia, after overwhelming their Chinese counterparts with four unanswered goals in the final match held on Saturday at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal City Stadium in Jeddah.
The goals for the "Japanese Samurai" were scored by Yuto Oizuki in the 12th minute, Ogura in the 20th and 76th minutes, and Ryunosuke Sato from a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
The Vietnam team achieved third place after defeating South Korea on Friday by penalty kicks 7-6 following a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time.
This is the third title for the Japanese team in the history of the tournament, and the second consecutive, after having won the cup in the years 2016 and 2024.
