Khaberni - The Asian Football Confederation and the Local Organizing Committee for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia revealed today, Saturday, the visual identity and the new cup for the 19th edition of the tournament, less than one year before it starts.
The Asian Football Confederation stated on its website, "The design of the identity and the cup reflect confidence, modernity, and energy, and are based on a vision aimed at inspiring the next generation of football players and fans across the continent."
It added: "The bold and contemporary visual identity reflects the spirit and culture of the host country, while also celebrating the unifying power of Asian football."
At the heart of this identity is the official logo, which combines unique lines with the iconic cup symbol inspired by the gradual Najdi architecture, a distinctive architectural and decorative style found only in Saudi Arabia."
Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, said, "The 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia will be an exceptional celebration of football and culture, and the revelation of the identity today is a significant milestone in embodying this vision on the ground."
He added: "It reflects the heritage and modernity of the Kingdom, while also highlighting the inspirational nature of the tournament, and we are confident that it will resonate widely with our passionate fans across Asia and beyond."
The tournament’s identity was unveiled during halftime of the final match of the Asian Cup Under-23 (Saudi Arabia 2026) at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah today.
This was accompanied by the screening of a short film titled "A Spark Over Asia." The film symbolizes the energy, anticipation, and unity that the Asian Cup brings to millions of fans across the continent.
The 2027 Asian Cup is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027, in three cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar, with the participation of the top 24 national men’s teams in the continent.
