Haitham AlShabools Departure A Local Loss and an Arab Achievement
الكاتب: حسان عمر ملكاوي

It is not easy for a fair follower to overlook the news of Captain Haitham Al-Shabool's departure from coaching the Al-Salt club—it is more than just a routine technical change. I highlighted this a few days ago through a post on my personal page with clear indications. Revisiting the scene reveals a clear truth that Al-Salt, the Jordanian league in general, and even the spectators looking for convincing and enjoyable football, are the first to lose from the absence of this high technical competence.
Haitham Al-Shabool was not just a passing coach at Al-Salt, but represented a complete conceptual project, a clear work identity, and a modern technical vision based on organization, boldness, and building a team capable of real, not superficial, competition. His presence on the bench added an extra dimension to the games and provided a special joy in reading the details, understanding the shifts, and managing the matches with high professionalism.
The impact of Al-Shabool was not limited to the technical side only but extended to the investment thought that integrated and cooperated with the club's system, a thought and action that resulted in a significant success reflected in reducing Al-Salt’s debt to about 300 thousand, and paying off around two and a quarter million, in an experience that is counted and recorded. And what’s most beautiful is that this administrative and financial success was not separate from the sports achievement; it coincided with it, as the club secured the Shield title in the past season, the first football title in the history of the club, followed by a runner-up in the current season, alongside notable presence in the league and cup tournaments, all accompanied by a convincing performance that confirmed that what was achieved was not coincidental or the result of fleeting luck.
From this standpoint, the loss of Haitham Al-Shabool is not just a loss for a specific club but a loss for the Jordanian league, which needs coaches who possess intellectual boldness, practical experience, and the ability to deliver respected and watchable football that leaves a clear technical impact.
Conversely, the new journey of Captain Haitham Al-Shabool, specifically his return to the Iraqi league, is an achievement in itself, adding to the series of accumulated successes for the Jordanian coach in general, and for Haitham Al-Shabool in particular. The Iraqi league is not an easy station, nor a field for mere formalities, but a competitive arena where only those with knowledge, experience, and a strong technical personality can succeed.
And Haitham Al-Shabool — the distinguished ambassador, a title which I am honored to bestow upon him — knows the Iraqi league as well as his system does; a mutual relationship crafted by experiences, established by facts, and refined by lengthy tours and confrontations, resulting in a respected and prominent name for a coach who understands the nature of competition, handles fan pressure with awareness, masters match management, and excels in turning crises into opportunities and success, not just temporary success, but real and sustainable success.
And God is behind the intention.
And God is the guardian of success and capable of it.
And if life remains, our conversation will continue.
