Khaberni - Abeer Mohsen, the wife of the Egyptian folk singer Tarek El Sheikh, filed an official report at the Pyramids Police Department, accusing her husband of physically assaulting her after a verbal altercation in their marital home turned violent.
The wife confirmed in the report that she sustained a cut wound on her right hand as a result of the assault, according to local media.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the altercation began over family disputes, which escalated into a physical assault by Tarek El Sheikh on his wife.
The security authorities took the necessary legal measures, while the public prosecutor's office began investigating the incident.
