Khaberni - Stephen Miller, the White House Chief of Staff, confirmed that American President Donald Trump's criticism of European countries at the World Economic Forum in Davos was due to the fact that Europe is "slowly destroying itself."
Miller said in an interview with "Fox News": "His criticism of Europe during his speech in Davos was one of the most important statements ever made by an American president about the continent. Europe is slowly destroying itself by strangling its energy sector with regulatory measures, its reliance on inefficient clean energy, and on other countries. It is also destroying itself with irresponsible immigration policies, as well as by neglecting to invest in its armed forces for years, and using the United States to support its defense."
During his speech at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, Trump stated that Washington is interested in having strong allies, hence Europe should change its policies, warning that European countries are experiencing an "energy sector collapse."
Trump expressed his opinion that most European countries would have been unable to perform normally and would have faced substantial security threats without American military support.
And last Friday, "The Washington Post" reported, citing an unnamed European leader, that Europe will not forget the disdain shown by the Trump administration in its dealings with it. -(RT)
