Education mandates the implementation of awareness campaigns for students against random waste disposal

Khaberni - The Ministry of Education has mandated schools across the kingdom to implement awareness campaigns to educate students about the dangers of random waste disposal, via school radio and social media platforms.

The ministry's spokesperson, Mahmoud Hayasat, stated that the directive is part of a series of events executed by the ministry in line with the executive program for the cleanliness strategy and the reduction of random waste disposal for the years 2026-2027, which was recently launched by the government in a step reflecting a comprehensive national commitment to protecting public health and the environment, and improving the general cleanliness in various provinces of the kingdom, and enhancing responsible environmental behavior.

He added that the ministry also mandated that schools take all the necessary measures to maintain their cleanliness and give this the utmost importance, instructing the relevant individuals in the educational directorates to rigorously and continuously follow up to activate these measures.

Hayasat highlighted the importance of launching and implementing environmental competitions and activities that enhance awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and contribute to reducing the phenomenon of random waste disposal in order to combat this phenomenon and reduce it, and to instill positive environmental behaviors among students, contributing to building a generation aware of environmental issues and its responsibilities towards it.
