Khaberni - The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Saturday that the news circulated about the extension of the deadline granted by the Syrian government to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) regarding the future of Hasakah province is not true.
The Syrian News Agency "SANA" quoted a source in the ministry saying: "There is no truth to what is being circulated regarding the extension of the deadline with SDF."
The Syrian Presidency had announced on the twentieth of this month that a mutual understanding had been reached between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) concerning several issues regarding the future of Hasakah province, noting that it was agreed to give SDF a period of four days to consult in order to develop a detailed plan for the mechanism of practically integrating the regions.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense also announced a ceasefire in all sectors of the Syrian army operations for four days in compliance with the understandings announced by the Syrian state with SDF.
