Here is the text of the message:
"His Excellency Brother Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, may God protect him
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army,
Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings, and thereafter,
I send to you and to the men and women of our Arab Army, in their various positions, greetings of pride and appreciation for their sincere efforts in defending the sanctities of this nation and protecting its assets.
His Excellency Brother,
Our Arab Army is a national institution that every Jordanian man and woman prides in, and its affiliates from officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel continue to serve Jordan with courage, dedication, and loyalty, bravely confronting anything that threatens its borders and the security of its citizens, setting the greatest examples of courage, loyalty, and fidelity.
Out of our commitment to enhance the capabilities of our Arab Army and continuously develop its means and tools, we direct you to prepare a comprehensive strategy and a clear roadmap to achieve a structural transformation in the armed forces over the next three years, to enable them to face current and future threats, the rapid technological developments, and emerging challenges posed by the expanding operational environment.
It is necessary to consider the requirements related to updating and restructuring our armed forces so that their organizational structure matches the requirements of combat within different operational environments, ensuring mastery of modern warfare methods and the effective employment of their capabilities in a manner that is consistent with the nature of contemporary hybrid and unconventional wars.
His Excellency Brother,
We aspire for agile, flexible, and specialized armed forces, continuously preparing, arming, and training on modern combat methods to maintain a high level of competence, professionalism, and combat readiness to achieve strategic deterrence, according to a precise and studied combat doctrine at every branch, characterized by simplicity, effectiveness, and applicability through the optimal employment of defensive and offensive capabilities, and developing training and arming plans that serve operational deployment plans.
We want our armed forces to have the capability to protect its strategic and operational centers of gravity and to employ modern defense technologies in partnership between its specialized directorates, research centers, and with local and friendly defense industry companies, to possess an effective, reliable, and secure command and control communications system.
It is essential to work towards achieving superiority and competitiveness in one or more operational combat areas, placing the field of cyber defense and offense operations as a priority for investment and capacity building to gain competitiveness, and employing drone technology and artificial intelligence at all levels of the armed forces units.
Our armed forces must possess sufficient reserve forces enhanced with various capabilities necessary for the efficient execution of their operations according to the tasks and duties assigned to them in operational deployment plans, in addition to studying the most suitable employment of border guard units and gendarmerie and special police units affiliated with the Directorate of Public Security in operational deployment plans, and the logistical support system should be enhanced to cover all levels and ensure the fluidity of supply lines and sustainability.
To achieve a qualitative leap in our defense industry capabilities and to keep up with the rapid developments in this field, it is essential to redirect the role of the Jordanian Center for Design and Development and enhance its capabilities to become a nucleus in research, development, and manufacturing of advanced defense technology, according to the latest international specifications, aiming to meet various national needs in this sector.
This strategy must also include clear steps for restructuring the funds and investment companies affiliated with the armed forces and their administrations, in line with the highest professional standards of governance and management.
His Excellency Brother,
Based on the above, I look forward to providing us with this strategy and roadmap for its adoption and immediate implementation. I have absolute confidence in you and our brothers in the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army, capable of taking up the responsibility of developing and modernizing our distinguished army, and achieving the desired qualitative leap, so that our armed forces remain as we have always known them, at the forefront of military forces, distinguished by its efficiency, keeping up with all changes and modern developments.
