Education 15 million students start the second semester tomorrow

About 1.5 million students will head to their schools tomorrow, Sunday, to start the second semester of the current academic year.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sahar Al-Shakhatreh, said that the ministry has completed all preparations in the schools to welcome the students in their second semester in terms of providing textbooks from the first day of the semester, and providing heating in the classrooms in light of the cold weather conditions affecting most regions of the kingdom.

She confirmed in statements to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that about 1.5 million students in 4081 schools will resume tomorrow, Sunday, distributed among public schools and military culture.

She indicated that the ministry is still continuing to implement its decision to adjust the start time of school days in line with the decision to maintain daylight saving time, so that the morning assembly in the schools will be at exactly 8:15 AM, with the first period starting at 8:30 AM, and for the afternoon session, the assembly will start at 12:50 PM and the first period at 1 PM, and this decision will continue until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.-(Petra)
