Finding the Bodies of the Plane Crash Victims in Indonesia

Khaberni - The Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency said that the rescue teams found, on Friday, the bodies of 10 passengers who were on board a plane monitoring fishing activities, lost in South Sulawesi province at the beginning of the week.

The plane, an ATR 42-500 model owned by the Indonesian Aviation Transport Group, lost contact with the control tower on Saturday, in the vicinity of the Maros area in the province.
On board were a crew of 7 and 3 passengers, and it was rented by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to conduct aerial surveillance on its fishery resources, and the passengers were employees of the ministry.

Andy Sultan, an official at the Rescue Agency in South Sulawesi, said in a statement that the authorities found the ninth and tenth bodies early on Friday.

The agency mentioned on its Instagram account that 10 bodies were found, and earlier local rescue teams discovered plane wreckage at various sites around Mount Bulosaraung in the Maros area, about 1500 kilometers northeast of the capital, Jakarta.
