Israeli Media US deployment in the Middle East reaches highest level in 8 months

Khaberni - Israeli Army Radio reported that the scale of US deployment in the Middle East reached its highest level this week since the Israeli "Rising Lion" operation against Iran in June.

The radio pointed out that the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" is currently in the Indian Ocean and will arrive in the coming hours to the area of responsibility of the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

The radio noted that three F-15 squadrons have been deployed in the region, and several flights of transport and refueling aircraft of the KC-135 and C-17 types have been spotted in the area.

The radio referred to reports of the deployment of Patriot and THAAD air defense systems in the region.

US President Donald Trump said yesterday, Friday, that US Navy warships are currently heading towards Iran in anticipation of any emergency.

The US President added in his talk with reporters aboard the presidential plane: "As you know, we have many ships heading there, anticipating any emergency. We have a large fleet heading there, and we will see what happens. We have significant power heading towards Iran. I'd prefer that nothing happens, but we are closely monitoring them."

Several days ago, Trump said that the United States would "wipe Iran off the face of the Earth" if his life faced any threat, in an unprecedented escalation in his tone towards Tehran.

Tensions have escalated dramatically between Iran and the United States, amidst direct exchange of threats between the sides. Iranian officials, including President Masoud Bazshakian, have warned that any targeting of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would be considered a declaration of total war, warranting a broad response.
