A Water Bottle Costs Chelsea More Than 200000

Khaberni - The English Football Association imposed a fine of $203,000 on Chelsea after a water bottle was thrown from the technical area towards the Aston Villa coaching staff during their match last month.

The English FA stated in a statement released today, Friday, that an independent regulatory body imposed the fine after Chelsea admitted to the incident.

Chelsea was charged earlier this month after the water bottle, which media reports said contained water, was thrown during Aston Villa's celebration of their victory over the "Blues" (2-1) on December 27th last year.

Referee Stuart Atwell had written in his report about the incident, "I was informed of an allegation claiming that an unidentified member of the Chelsea coaching staff had thrown a plastic beverage bottle towards Aston Villa’s technical area."

Chelsea, currently sixth in the league, will visit Crystal Palace the day after tomorrow, Sunday, at the same time Aston Villa, third in the standings, play at Newcastle United's stadium.
