Khaberni - The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday the launch of talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States in Abu Dhabi, representing the first open direct negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv concerning a plan pushed forward by President Donald Trump to end the war ongoing for nearly four years.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement reported that "the talks began today in Abu Dhabi and are scheduled to continue over two days, within the framework of efforts to enhance dialogue and find political solutions to the crisis".
The statement added that the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed hosting the trilateral talks, "expressing hope that these discussions will contribute to taking steps towards ending a crisis that has lasted for nearly four years and resulted in severe humanitarian suffering".
