Khaberni - The extensive investigations conducted by the "Karamooz Partial" Prosecution in Alexandria, northern Egypt, revealed "shocking" surprises in the incident of a "bean seller" killing his four children and dumping their bodies in the waters designated for salt extraction in the city, locally known as "the salt pans".
According to the investigation report, the "massacre," which occurred on Thursday, left 4 victims: 3 girls and a boy, ranging in age from 12 to 16 years old. They had a fifth sibling who miraculously escaped death as he refused to go with his father on the night of the incident due to his strong attachment to his "aunt".
It was revealed that the father of the victims had killed them because he was unable to provide for them, in addition to being continuously mocked and scorned by those around him because of the behavior of their mother, whom he had also eliminated previously.
Investigations blew up a surprise as it turned out that there was an unsuccessful attempt by the accused father to dispose of his children that preceded the incident, starting with him taking his four children at night towards a railway crossing in an attempt to throw them under the wheels of the train.
This attempt failed due to a large number of people being present at the site, and facing this obstacle, the accused decided to change his destination and head with them to the abandoned "salt pans" area to commit his crime away from prying eyes.
Sources reported that the accused strangled his children, one after another, repeating: "You don't have a life in this world," ignoring the bitter pleas and screams issued by his eldest daughter imploring him to stop.
The investigations also revealed that the accused attempted to escape with his crime, deciding to leave Alexandria and head to the Dakahlia Governorate, but security forces succeeded in tracking his route and apprehending him.
