Offensive Deal Saudi Federation Makes an Offer to the Spanish League Star

Khaberni - Al Ittihad Club is experiencing a difficult season in the Saudi Roshan League after losing to Al-Qadsiah with two goals to one, last Thursday evening.

Al Ittihad is in sixth place with 27 points, 17 points behind the leader AlHilal, which has caused a state of dissatisfaction within the club's corridors and its fans.

Last season's champions failed to maintain their level, having suffered 5 defeats and drawn in 3 matches, with only 8 victories in 16 rounds, prompting the management to seek urgent solutions to bring the team back to the winning track.

In this context, Al Ittihad is looking to strengthen its attacking line during the current winter transfer period.

Spanish media reports revealed that it has set its sights on a striker from the Spanish league to reinforce the front line.

According to «Marca» newspaper, the Saudi Federation made an offer to contract Spanish striker Rafa Mir, a player of Elche, on loan from Sevilla, in a step aimed at boosting the team's offensive strength.

Rafa Mir, 28 years old, does not mind experiencing a professional career outside Spain, although completing the deal requires the approval of his original club, Sevilla, in addition to his current club, Elche.

Elche owns a clause to buy the player's contract permanently for 3.5 million euros, with the possibility of activating this clause at any time during the season, which could facilitate Al Ittihad's task, as it would then only need to negotiate with Elche.

Rafa Mir has previously played for several prominent clubs, including Barcelona in the youth categories, and represented Valencia, Las Palmas, Huesca, Sevilla, and Elche in Spain, in addition to two stints in the English League with Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest.
