Khaberni - The partial prosecution in Karmouz, Alexandria, is conducting extensive investigations into the incident of a bean vendor killing his four children and throwing their bodies in the salt pans.
In the details, security forces were notified by the Karmouz police station that a report was received about unidentified bodies found inside the salt pans within the district.
Security leaders moved to the report site where they retrieved 4 bodies, which were visibly altered by the salty water.
The bodies were transferred to the morgue at the disposal of the Public Prosecution, which instructed the detectives to investigate the incident and start the investigations that led to identifying the perpetrator of this heinous and horrifying crime.
Egyptian media reported that security forces managed to arrest the accused, the father of the four victims, after he tried to leave Alexandria and head to Dakahlia Governorate, where the security devices successfully traced his route and apprehended him.
According to the investigative report of the incident, the massacre resulted in 4 victims (3 daughters and one son) aged between 12 and 16 years. They had a fifth sibling who miraculously survived by chance, since he refused to go with his father on the night of the incident due to his deep attachment to his "aunt".
The investigations revealed that the accused decided to get rid of his children due to his inability to support them, besides the constant ridicule and contempt he faced from those around him because of their mother’s behavior, whom he had also gotten rid of earlier.
It was also found that there was a failed previous attempt by the father to get rid of his children before committing the act, starting by taking them at night towards a railway crossing in an attempt to throw them under the train wheels, but this attempt failed due to the presence of many citizens at the spot.
Facing this obstacle, the accused decided to change his direction and take them to the abandoned salt pans to execute his crime away from prying eyes.
Sources noted that the accused strangled his children in the salt pans area one by one, repeating: "You have no life in this world", despite his eldest daughter's pleas asking him to stop, but he did not listen and threw them all into the salt pans.
