Khaberni - The Traffic Department confirmed that maintaining a safe distance between vehicles while driving is not merely a precautionary measure, but is essentially necessary to ensure the safety of drivers, passengers, and pedestrians alike.
The department explained, based on the annual report for traffic accidents in Jordan for the year 2024, that failing to maintain a safe following distance accounted for 9% of the drivers' errors that led to injury accidents, highlighting the importance of adhering to this precautionary measure.
The Traffic Department stressed the need to be cautious and comply with traffic safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries, urging all drivers to drive with an appropriate distance between vehicles.
