Khaberni - The captain Zuhair Al-Khashman, head of the parliamentary block of the Union of Centrist and National Islamic Parties, sent an official letter to His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, requesting the postponement of monthly installments due from citizens during the months of February and March of 2026.
The block confirmed in its letter, dated 21/1/2026, that the proposal includes personal loans and loans for small and medium enterprises, whether for individuals or business owners, at banks and financial institutions, aiming to alleviate the burden on citizens before the holy month of Ramadan and the joyous Eid al-Fitr.
The block emphasized the necessity of postponing without imposing any penalties or additional interests on the borrowers, with the postponement period being converted to an extension of the loan duration or rescheduling the installments, in such a way that does not result in any immediate burden on the citizens.
It also demanded that no negative impact be recorded on the credit history of the beneficiaries from the postponement decision, considering this a fundamental part of protecting the borrowers.
The bloc concluded its letter by affirming that making such a decision carries humanitarian, social, and economic dimensions, and contributes to alleviating the suffering of the citizens and stimulating the economic activity and the local market.
