Khaberni - The artist Haifa Wehbe has filed a lawsuit against an Egyptian cosmetic doctor, accusing him of using her video clips to promote his clinic without permission.
The Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe has filed a lawsuit in the Economic Court against an Egyptian cosmetic doctor, based on accusations of using her private video clips to promote his clinic on social media without her prior consent.
According to the details of the lawsuit, Haifa Wehbe visited a medical center in April 2023 for a medical consultation only, and during the visit, two promotional video clips for the center were recorded, to be used only once.
However, Haifa, according to the lawsuit, was surprised by the repeated reposting of the clips on social media platforms, despite her repeated demands for their removal, which was not complied with, which she considered an illegitimate exploitation of her name and image.
In her lawsuit, Haifa Wehbe demanded civil compensation of 5 million Egyptian pounds for the moral and material damages incurred, affirming that what happened represents a violation of her personal rights and commercial exploitation without legal basis.
This case comes in the context of a series of legal and media disputes Haifa Wehbe has been involved in recent years, particularly those related to the use of her image and content on social media without permission.
