Referring TikToker Madonna to Trial for Violating Public Morals

Khaberni - Egypt’s investigative authorities have decided to send a content creator on the application «TikTok» known as Madonna to trial.

The investigative authorities decided to refer the TikToker known as «Madonna» to trial, following accusations of publishing and broadcasting video clips on social media platforms, described as contrary to the values and traditions of the Egyptian society.

The decision came on Thursday, January 22, 2026, where the investigative authorities in Qalyubia Governorate began the proceedings to refer the accused as part of the ongoing case after completing the necessary examinations and investigations.

Previously, the investigative authorities in Qalyubia had decided to seize financial amounts found in the possession of the accused, Menna J. A., famously known on the application «TikTok» as «Madonna», including 72,000 Egyptian pounds, 825 Saudi Riyals, and 300 US dollars, pending the resolution of the case.

The details of the incident return to the success of the General Administration of Morality Police at the Ministry of Interior in capturing the accused in the city of Shubra Al-Khaimah, Qalyubia Governorate, after monitoring her publication and broadcasting of video clips on her social media accounts, which were considered in violation of the prevailing moral values and traditions in society.

These measures are part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to confront content violating public morals on digital platforms, and to maintain ethical values and societal standards.
