Khaberni - An AI dissemination report issued by the Microsoft AI Economics Institute for the second half of 2025 shows that Jordan ranks third in the Arab world and twenty-ninth globally in the AI Proliferation Index among the working-age population, out of 147 economies covered in the report.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship today, Thursday, Jordan has recorded a usage rate of 27 percent among the working-age population, compared to 25.4 percent in the first half of the same year, reflecting a continuous growth in the adoption of AI tools and a clear surpassing of the global average of 16.3 percent.
The index measures the percentage of active users of AI tools from the total working-capable population, based on data from the use of Microsoft platforms through the telemetry system, and excludes surveys, with statistical adjustments that consider differences in internet penetration rates, operating systems, population density, and ensure a fair comparison between countries.
At the Arab level in the report for the second half of 2025, the United Arab Emirates recorded a usage rate of 64.0 percent to lead the index globally, while the State of Qatar came with a rate of 38.3 percent among the top ten countries globally, and Jordan followed them with a rate of 27 percent advancing ahead of several Arab countries.
The report indicates that countries with digital readiness and advanced technological infrastructure register higher rates of using AI tools, emphasizing that expanding internet access, developing digital skills, and boosting investment in modern technologies are key factors in enhancing adoption levels.
Jordan's advanced performance on the index during 2025 reflects an upward trajectory in the use of AI technologies in the labor market and confirms its ability to keep pace with global technological changes and enhance its digital competitiveness both regionally and internationally.
