Khaberni - Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdulaziz has broken her silence about the circulation on social media platforms of fake pictures of her in recent hours, coinciding with the release of the teaser for her series "Wennesa Elly Kan", scheduled to air in Ramadan season 2026.
Yasmin Abdulaziz announced, in a decisive statement through her official Facebook account on Wednesday, her intention to pursue legal action against what she described as "organized smear campaigns".
Yasmin confirmed that she will not be lenient with attempts to portray her in an "indecent and immoral" manner, noting that she has already started coordinating with the internet police to identify those responsible for publishing these images, arrest them, and bring them to justice.
Yasmin concluded her post by saying, "God is sufficient for me and he is the best Guardian, for what has been done."
Behind the scenes
The creators of the series "Wennesa Elly Kan" revealed the teaser and the official poster of the project on Tuesday, shedding light on the "behind the scenes of stardom" and the costs and sacrifices behind the curtain, offering a dramatic treatment of the themes of memory and the ability to continue despite crises.
The series presents a dramatic, human perspective that deals with the conflicts of fame and what it conceals of psychological pains and scars from the past. The work does not only highlight the glamour of success but delves into its emotional background and presents existential questions about the ability to move past what has happened and the price that may be paid to stay at the top.
Jalila Raslan
Yasmin Abdulaziz portrays "Jalila Raslan", a famous artist living complex internal conflicts amid the pressures of fame and the past. Meanwhile, Karim Fahmy's role raises questions about the nature of his relationship with her, whether he stands by her side or becomes a party in her psychological conflict.
The teaser also revealed the anticipated confrontation between Yasmin Abdulaziz and Sherine Reda. The latter appeared in a role that seems to be "the mastermind," as she manipulates her psychological games to control the fate of Yasmin's character, saying in a mysterious tone: "I want her to be completely reassured." This scene revealed an additional layer of dramatic tension, confirming that the series will not just settle for human conflict but will dive into a world of personal conspiracies and psychological control.
The series is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, directed by Mohammed El-Kheibery, and stars, alongside Yasmin Abdulaziz and Karim Fahmy, a group of stars including Sherine Reda, Khaled Sarhan, Menna Fadali, Mahmoud Yassin Jr., Mohamed Lotfy, Mahmoud Hafez, and Ehab Fahmy.
