Ramadan 2026 Salma Abu Deif Embodies an Epic of Patience in Facing Kidney Failure and Down Syndrome

Khaberni - Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif embarks on a new dramatic experience during the Ramadan 2026 series season, through the series "Supply and Demand", which presents a social human story inspired by reality, and highlights the struggles of teachers, within a popular framework that carries impactful human dimensions.

Salma Abu Deif portrays a young teacher, experiencing severe family pressures, as she takes care of a brother with Down syndrome, alongside her desperate attempts to save her mother suffering from severe kidney failure, whose health deteriorates over time, making kidney transplantation the only option to save her life.


Searching for a donor
As the events escalate, the heroine turns to a local youth to help her find a kidney donor, in a journey fraught with human and social challenges, amid open questions about the mother's fate, and the possibility of saving her before it's too late.

The promo reveals the extent of suffering
The production company has released the first teaser promo for the series, which reflects the psychological and human suffering experienced by the character, alongside a network of supportive relationships, from friends and neighbors, portrayed by several artists, including Alaa Morsi and Mostafa Abu Srie.


Drama from the heart of reality
In previous statements, Salma Abu Deif explained that "Supply and Demand" relies on a social human drama treatment, stepping away from conventional molds, and delving into the daily life details of teachers, noting that the depth of characters and craftsmanship of writing were among the main reasons for her enthusiasm to participate in the work.

She confirmed that the series discusses real social issues and transcends the stereotypical image of the profession, in an attempt to present a more truthful and realistic vision.


Main cast
The series "Supply and Demand" belongs to the category of 15-episode works, written by Mahmoud Ezzat, directed by Amr Moussa, and produced by United Studios.

Starring alongside Salma Abu Deif are: Mohamed Hatem, Ali Subhi, Rahma Ahmad, Samah Anwar, Intisar, Mostafa Abu Srie, Alaa Morsi, in addition to several other artists, and its events unfold within a popular human framework.

Returning to the Ramadan competition
The series marks Salma Abu Deif's return to the Ramadan drama race, after her absence from the previous season due to her pregnancy and the birth of her first daughter, "Sophia", and it is her second lead role in Ramadan, following the success she achieved in the series "Highest Viewership" during the Ramadan season of 2024.


Other upcoming works
On another front, Salma Abu Deif awaits the release of the series "Binge Coli" on MBC Shahid platform, as well as her participation in the movie "Ithma", starring Ahmed Dawood, and the movie "Egy Best", which brings her together with Ahmed Malek and Marwan Pablo.
