Yasmin Abdelazizs Brother Threatens Unknown After Damaging Her Reputation with Offensive Photos

Khaberni - The circulation of fabricated and offensive photos of star Yasmin Abdelaziz on several social media pages has sparked controversy and anger in the past few hours, coinciding with the release of the teaser for her new series "We Forget What Was," which is scheduled to be shown during the Ramadan drama season of 2026.

In his first comment on the incident, artist Wael Abdelaziz, Yasmin’s brother, broke his silence with a direct threat to the person behind the dissemination of those photos, asserting that this incident will not pass without accountability.

Wael wrote on his personal Facebook account in a strongly worded post, threatening to legally pursue the responsible individual, emphasizing that the law is capable of prosecuting everyone involved in the defamation and slander, and indicating that the coming days will witness official action against this person.

He wrote: "You, those behind you, and those employing you will be brought in, and I will imprison all of you.. I have been waiting for this moment for 5 years, and this was a major hit below the belt, but God decreed and the cover of protection was lifted from you.. Tomorrow the pages of the Ministry of Interior will light up.. The country has laws."

Wael Abdelaziz's stance came after a decisive statement issued by Yasmin Abdelaziz via her official Facebook account today, Wednesday, in which she announced her intention to take legal action against what she described as "systematic defamation campaigns" targeting her reputation.

The star confirmed that she would not tolerate any attempts to portray her in an inappropriate manner or morally harm her, explaining that she has already begun coordinating with the Internet crimes department to identify those responsible for fabricating and publishing the photos, in preparation for arresting them and bringing them to justice.

Yasmin concluded her statement with a succinct message with a touching human touch, saying: "Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best trustee," indicating the psychological harm caused by the incident.

This controversy comes at a time when the series "We Forget What Was" is experiencing notable media momentum, after the makers of the show revealed the teaser and the official poster yesterday, Tuesday. The series presents a different dramatic treatment highlighting the backstage of stardom and the hidden costs and psychological sacrifices through a profound human approach to the themes of memory and the ability to persevere despite crises.

In the series, Yasmin Abdelaziz portrays the character "Galila Rslan," a famous artist experiencing complex internal conflicts under the pressure of fame and her secretive past, while Karim Fahmy co-stars, raising questions about the nature of his relationship with her, and whether he will be a supporter or a participant in her escalating psychological conflict.
