Khaberni - Egyptian media confirmed that Al Ahly is close to finalizing a new deal to strengthen its squad during the current winter transfer period.
Media personality Ibrahim Fayek noted on X that the Egyptian club is on its way to signing Jordanian player Ouda Al-Fakhouri.
Fayek said: "Remember when we said it together.. okay, now put Ouda Al-Fakhouri on the charger.. with a 99% chance he's Ahlawi."
Media reports emphasized that Al Ahly is in advanced negotiations to sign the Jordanian winger Ouda Al-Fakhouri, a player of Hussein Irbid Club, during the ongoing winter transfer window.
Negotiations between the two parties are progressing rapidly, as part of Al Ahly's effort to attract young players capable of making a difference in the future, with Al-Fakhouri being one of the most prominent rising names in Jordanian football currently, thanks to his notable levels locally and internationally.
The data indicates that Al Ahly's management plans to register the 20-year-old player in the "under age" list, benefiting from registration rules that allow signing foreign players in this age group without affecting the number of foreign players in the first team roster.
Currently, the Ahlawi management is working on finalizing the financial details of the deal, where they are considering activating the buyout clause in the player's contract with his club valued at 100,000 dollars, or slightly increasing the financial compensation to complete the deal amicably and smoothly, amidst a mutual desire to converge views between the parties.
Although Hussein Irbid received several offers to sign the player during the current transfer period, Al-Fakhouri's personal desire played a major role in tipping the scales in favor of Al Ahly, after he expressed his great enthusiasm to wear the shirt of the African champion and considered it an important step in his professional career.
The serious interest from Al Ahly followed the distinguished levels presented by the player with the Jordan national team in the recent Arab Cup held in Qatar, where he was an influential element and contributed to the "Nashama" reaching the final match before losing narrowly to the Moroccan team, which attracted the attention of the red club's scouts.
