Arsenal Defender I Feel Intimidated When I See Our Strikers

Khaberni - Myles Lewis-Skelly praised Arsenal’s frightening attack, urging his teammates to send another strong message to their competitor Manchester United before their meeting next week.

Arsenal enters next Sunday’s crucial Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium with high morale, following an exciting 3-1 victory over Italy’s Inter Milan.

The team, coached by Spaniard Mikel Arteta, is the only one in the Champions League to have won all seven of its matches thus far, and seems on track to top their group.

Gabriel Jesus scored two goals in Italy and Victor Yokeris added the third after coming on as a substitute in what was an unforgettable night for Arteta and his players. Skelly said: I feel intimidated by seeing all these attacking options we have, it's a new strength for us. Every player is happy to be involved, and everyone is also happy with the support, and that’s why we are in a good state.

He continued: This victory was a strong message; before the match, we recognized the importance of sending a message to the rest of our competitors, and I believe we succeeded in that. We continue to take steps in the right direction.

He added: Every match now is very important, and we are striving for another win on Sunday, to send more messages to the rest of our competitors. That is what we are trying to do, and that is what we will do.

Arteta, who leads his team by seven points in the league, faces a dilemma in choosing the starting lineup for the Manchester United match after Jesus’ double at San Siro.

Jesus had been off the field for 11 months due to a severe knee injury, but he started his first match in the tournament since December 2024 with a remarkable performance that put pressure on Arteta’s main striker, Yokeris. Nonetheless, the Swedish international player came on as a substitute to score his second goal in three matches.
