Khaberni - Today, Wednesday, OpenAI Global has included Jordan in the "Education for Countries" initiative, which aims to build educational systems and a workforce ready for the requirements of the future job market through artificial intelligence tools.
This was announced by the company during its participation in the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland.
During the announcement, the company stated it would work with a number of governments and university federations to integrate artificial intelligence into educational systems to improve the educational process and prepare students for the job market.
The first group within this initiative includes, besides Jordan, Estonia, Greece, the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Arab Emirates.
The company indicated that studies suggest that by 2030, driven by artificial intelligence technology, about 40% of the core skills relied upon by workers today will change.
It explained that by integrating artificial intelligence tools, training, and research into the core infrastructure of schools and universities, educational systems can evolve alongside these transformations and better prepare students to succeed in the world of artificial intelligence.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the company "Open AI" have signed a partnership agreement to support the educational smart assistant "Siraj," one of the projects of the National Council for Future Technology launched on a trial basis, in line with the directives of His Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, to harness technology in improving educational outcomes.
The Ministry of Education launched the educational smart assistant "Siraj" on a trial basis in early October last year, which is an educational tool supported by artificial intelligence.
The smart assistant Siraj allows students and teachers to ask questions and get answers and accurate interactions based on the official school curriculum, with clear reference documentation for each answer, contributing to the improvement of the educational process.
According to the latest statistics, the smart assistant was used by more than 200,000 teachers and students during the project development period, conducting over one million conversations.
