Khaberni - This Wednesday evening, the Jordanian electrical system registered the highest load level since the beginning of the current winter season, reaching about 4450 megawatts, coinciding with the cold wave affecting various regions of the kingdom.
The National Electricity Company confirmed that the electrical system is operating efficiently and with full stability, noting that the transmission and control system possesses the necessary technical capacity to handle the high loads, due to its readiness and continuous technical monitoring around the clock.
The company explained that the National Control Center and the field technical teams at various work locations continue their work uninterrupted, to monitor the performance of the electrical network and ensure the continuity of supply.
It added, the specialized teams deal immediately with any new developments that may occur in the electrical transmission system, in coordination with the generation, distribution companies, and relevant entities, contributing to enhancing the reliability and stability of the national electrical system, especially during peak periods.
