Khaberni - President Donald Trump said that European countries would have faced enormous security threats, and many of them would not have been able to function normally without the military support provided by the United States.
In a speech delivered on Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump considered that the American military presence is the fundamental pillar of Europe's security, saying: "Without our army, you would face threats you wouldn't believe existed."
He added that these threats are not only related to the role of the United States, but also to the nature of operations of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), noting that Washington's participation in the alliance has prevented the paralysis of many governments in Europe.
Trump affirmed that the American forces stationed within the framework of NATO represent the main deterrence factor in facing Europe's potential adversaries, emphasizing that the continent's security cannot be separated from the military role of the United States.
