The family of Brigadier General Ibrahim AlSarayreh refuses to receive the American Ambassador at the condolence house

Khaberni - For the second consecutive time, and within a few days, the family of the retired Brigadier General Ibrahim Al-Sarayreh (Abu Muath) apologized for receiving the American Ambassador to Jordan, James Holtsnider, to accept condolences on the death of the deceased, at the Diwan of the Sons of Karak in the Dabouq area of the capital, Amman.

The embassy, according to sources for "Khaberni," contacted the family of the deceased to ask permission to offer condolences, but the polite response was a refusal to receive him.

This is the second time a Jordanian family has refused to receive the American Ambassador in Jordan within a week, as previously the family of the former Mayor of Karak, Dr. Abdullah Zaal Al-Dmour, refused to receive him while he attempted to offer condolences on the death of the deceased, at the same location.

This comes at a time when there has been a noticeable increase in the activity of the American Ambassador in Jordan recently, through intensifying his presence in a number of official bodies and ministries, along with expanding the scope of his social visits, including participation in condolence houses and wedding ceremonies within the Kingdom, which has sparked widespread controversy in journalistic, political, and social circles regarding the nature of this presence and its timing.
