Jordan Agrees to Join Gaza Peace Council

Khaberni - Foreign ministers of Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt welcomed the invitation directed to their countries' leaders by United States President Donald Trump to join the Peace Council.

The ministers announced the joint decision of their countries to join the Peace Council. Each country will sign the accession documents according to their relevant legal procedures and other necessary actions, including Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE who have already announced their accession.

The ministers affirmed their countries' support for the peace efforts led by President Trump and reiterated their commitment to supporting the implementation of the Peace Council's mission as a transitional body as outlined in the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza as adopted by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire, supporting the reconstruction of Gaza, and moving towards a just and lasting peace based on fulfilling the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law, paving the way for security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region.
