Khaberni - The Arab Bank recently launched a series of specialized awareness sessions for teachers of the "Sanabel" initiative, which is implemented by the Al Jood Foundation for Academic Care in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, aiming to embed a culture of creativity and social entrepreneurship within public schools across the kingdom.
The initiation of these sessions is part of the continuous annual support provided by the Arab Bank for the initiative, in line with its ongoing commitment to supporting capacity building and competency development in the education sector, reflecting its vision to enhance sustainability and corporate responsibility, and its firm belief in the importance of education as a fundamental pillar for building communities and empowering individuals.
Mr. Maher Qaddoura, the founder of the Sanabel initiative, noted that the success of the initiative was not the effort of one party alone, but the result of genuine partnerships and ongoing field interaction. He added: "We worked side by side with the Ministry of Education, with supporters, headed by the Arab Bank as the strategic supporter, and with teachers who are leading change within their schools. This interaction is what made the life skills sessions of Sanabel reach hundreds of teachers in each session, translating into real projects that improve the school environment and directly reflect on the students."
The awareness sessions aim to empower teachers by developing their professional skills and practical knowledge, with a focus on life skills development through sessions held throughout the year electronically. The sessions also cover key topics that include emotional intelligence, artificial intelligence, and others, which contribute to enhancing the efficiency of teachers and boosting their impact in the classroom, enabling them to keep up with the latest developments and global trends in the education sector, all positively impacting students and the school environment and contributing to raising the quality and efficiency of education, with each session attracting between 800 to 1000 teachers from the Sanabel initiative.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Bank began its strategic sponsorship of the Sanabel initiative in 2021, reaffirming its continuous commitment to supporting the education sector and initiatives aimed at empowering educational staff and developing student skills, in line with its direction towards enhancing sustainable community development through its diverse programs in the field of corporate responsibility. The Arab Bank's corporate social responsibility program "Together" embodies this approach by supporting a range of diverse initiatives and activities that contribute to serving vital sectors including education, health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, women's empowerment, and orphan care, through joint efforts with local community institutions.
