Khaberni - The mother of the late Egyptian stylist Reham Aasem revealed shocking details about the cause of her daughter's death, explaining that her daughter was a victim of medical negligence at a well-known hospital in Mohandeseen, denying that the "vape" was the cause of her death.
The mother accused the medical team overseeing her daughter of neglecting her condition, confirming that the deceased had received a cortisone shot days before her death, which led to her deteriorating health condition and complications that resulted in fluid accumulation in her lungs.
Reham Aasem's mother stated in comments to local media: "My daughter did not die because of the vape as it is said; she received a cortisone injection due to a foot fracture, and a well-known doctor prescribed that dose. After she took it, she kept screaming, but no one paid attention to her cries, and later they discovered her lungs were filled with water."
She continued, "My daughter was screaming and telling me to get her out of here, while the doctors were standing around smoking cigarettes and the nurses were having breakfast, may God punish them, I won't forgive them, she was all I had."
Fall at home
Reham Aasem's mother also revealed details of her daughter's final moments, saying: "Reham had a fall at her home, suffering a quadruple fracture in her ankle, which led to complications and pain in her arm and neck. I took her to the hospital for an examination, and there were suspicions of cartilage damage."
She added, "The doctors reassured me that she did not suffer cartilage injuries, but she took a cortisone shot, and suddenly after we left the hospital, she lost consciousness, and we transferred her to another hospital where she was admitted to the intensive care unit. She felt that she was going to die and kept telling me, 'I'm going to die, Mom.'"
It should be noted that the Egyptian stylist had requested her friends to pray for her recovery two days before her death, as she wrote in her last Facebook post: "Pray for me to get out of the ICU, please," before her death was announced last Tuesday, shocking the artistic community.
