Tom Cruise and Jackie Chan Lead the Pack Stars Who Broke Records on the Set

Tom Cruise executes a jump with 16 flaming parachutes
During the filming of his movie Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning in 2025, Tom Cruise set a new world record by jumping from a helicopter flying at around 7,500 feet using fuel-soaked, flaming parachutes.

The American star performed this scene 16 times, earning him the title for the most jumps with flaming parachutes by an individual, officially documented in the Guinness Book of Records on June 4, 2025.

Kate Winslet Surpasses Tom Cruise
Previously, Cruise held another record for the longest on-screen breath hold of 6 minutes during the filming of Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation in 2015, but British actress Kate Winslet surpassed him with a time of 7 minutes and 15 seconds while filming Avatar: The Way of Water in 2022, capturing real underwater scenes.

Jackie Chan performs 100 dangerous scenes
On December 5, 2012, Jackie Chan received the title of the actor with the most dangerous scenes performed alive after completing 100 scenes, a number that continues to grow throughout his career spanning over 60 years.

The Chinese star paid a heavy price for his fame, suffering multiple fractures including his nose three times, his cheekbones, most of his fingers, and even his skull.

Jackie Chan also set another record in 2012 for playing the most roles in a single movie, with 15 different roles in the movie Chinese Zodiac, including writing, composing, producing, and coordinating food.

Christopher Lee: Most Sword Fights and Deaths

In 2009, he became the oldest video game voice actor at the age of 87 years and 125 days, then broke his own record at the age of 91.

Lee also holds the record for the most deaths in a film career, with his characters dying 61 times out of more than 200 films he appeared in.
